Former Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM) banking partner Niloufer Lam has joined her husband Zarir Bharucha’s law firm as a partner.

Zarir Bharucha & Associates (ZBA) has a specialisation in shipping, infrastructure, ports, energy, commodities and litigation and is based in Mumbai. Bharucha told India Business Law Journal that Lam’s addition will assist in expanding the non-contentious practice areas of the firm. “The India success story means that clients are increasingly looking for international quality standards and knowledge as well as extensive Indian legal experience and it was this reasoning that brought about the decision for Lam to join the firm, said Bharucha.
Lam worked at CAM until earlier this year in its Mumbai office. She joined the firm in 2010 when it was known as Amarchand Mangaldas. Prior to this, she worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley in London.
