Baker & McKenzie has appointed Brian Henderson as the chief operating officer overseeing its Hong Kong, mainland China and Vietnam offices. As COO, he will be responsible for developing and driving new strategic client initiatives, as well as assisting with the overall management of the offices.

Henderson is now based in Hong Kong and began his tenure with the firm on 2 March. He joins from Linklaters, where he served as the global head of legal sourcing, having spent more than 12 years in a number of strategic roles with Linklaters in London and Paris.
His appointment follows that of Ian Dinwiddie, who joined Baker & McKenzie in January 2012 as chief financial officer from Hildebrandt Consulting, following 20 years as finance director at Allen & Overy. Henderson’s predecessor, Nick Peacock, has taken the position of regional operating officer for the firm’s North American region.
