Introduction

Asanga Gunawansa holds a PhD in law from the National University of Singapore and an LLM in International Economic Law from University of Warwick. He currently heads Colombo law Alliance, a law chamber that specialises in commercial law, project financing, foreign investment law, construction law, and arbitration.

Gunawansa is an adjunct professor at the University of Moratuwa and a member of the Board of Studies of the Council of Legal Education of Sri Lanka. He is a consultant to the Green Climate Fund, South Korea, and a member of the executive committee of the Asia Pacific Centre for Environmental Law.

He is also an international arbitrator and has worked in the past for the UN as a legal officer and for the National University of Singapore as an assistant professor. He has published several books, including “The case book on Asia Pacific construction law”.
