Introduction

Soenardi Pardi has more than 25 years of experience practising law in Indonesia with a practice focusing on M&A, banking, securitisation and structured finance, and international dispute resolution.

He was shortlisted in the A-List: Indonesia’s Top 100 Lawyers in 2020 and 2021 by Asia Business Law Journal and nominated as a finalist for Indonesia and South East Asia’s “Dispute Resolution Lawyer of the Year”, in 2019 and 2020, respectively, by Asian Legal Business.

He has handled many large and complex acquisition transactions, debt financing, asset securitisation, structured finance, and derivatives, as well as complex cross border arbitration and litigation matters, and represented prominent companies in a variety of sectors.

In 2018, Soenardi Pardi was appointed counsel representing the Republic of Indonesia in the successful defence of a claim brought by Churchill Mining, filed with the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID).
