Introduction

Darrell R. Johnson is senior of counsel at SSEK Legal Consultants, where he was previously senior foreign legal counsel from the firm’s establishment in 1992. Darrell has more than four decades of experience living and practicing law in Indonesia and is valued by blue-chip clients as a gateway between the international and Indonesian legal spheres.

His expertise includes restructuring and insolvency, Indonesian finance, foreign investment law, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate and commercial law.

Darrell has been recognized for many years by legal directories as a leading practitioner in Indonesia for banking and finance, corporate law/M&A, energy and natural resources, project finance, and restructuring and insolvency.

Darrell was the founding member of the Board of Advisors and the principal coordinator of the ELIPS Project, Indonesia’s commercial law reform project from 1992-1996, at the time the largest single country effort of its kind in the world.

Darrell earned his J.D. from Stanford Law School.
