Introduction

Gary Hung joined Chien Yeh Law Offices in 2004 and became a partner in charge in 2015. He currently leads a task force focusing on the capital markets in Chien Yeh Law Offices. With almost 20 years of practice experience, Gary is distinguished for his expertise in delivering effective problem-solving approaches and helping his clients achieve their goals in several commercial transactions.

Apart from the above, Gary served in several other professional roles during his career, including as an advisory commissioner in the Complaint Review Board for Government Procurement of the Taipei City Government and an advisory commissioner in the Law and Regulation Commission of Taipei City Government. He was also a lecturer in the workshop for legal practices organised by the Department of Civil Servant Development of the Taipei City Government.

Gary primarily practices in the areas of overseas companies or domestic companies listing in Taiwan (i.e., IPO), M&A, cross-border investments, corporate hostile takeovers, and securities exchange laws. From 2011 to 2022, Gary served as the issuer’s counsel or underwriter’s counsel for more than 50 projects involving listing on Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) and Taipei Exchange (TPEx), including but not limited to Shane Global Holding, Luo Lih-Fen Holding, Ventec International Group, The Shanghai Commercial & Savings Bank, Khgears International, Yonggu Group, World Known MFG (Cayman), and FY Group.

With his extensive experience in assisting Taiwanese and foreign enterprises with becoming listed on TWSE and TPEx, Chien Yeh Law Offices has been prominent for providing a wide range of services in relation to capital markets practice. It is worth noting that due to Gary’s achievement in capital markets practice, Chien Yeh Law Offices has been recognised as one of the top corporate law firms in Taiwan, and collected several awards granted by TWSE and TPEx since 2011, among which the achievement is clinching two consecutive first places in the 2018 and 2019 TWSE awards for Circulation of Securities Award: Law Firms Category.
