Cross-border M&A; capital markets

Introduction

Amy Chin obtained her LLB degree from Taiwan’s National Chengchi University and her LLM degree from Duke Law School. Her practice focuses on cross-border capital markets and mergers and acquisitions. She is recognised as an eminent practitioner in capital markets by Chambers – Greater China 2023. Chin’s experiences include advising numerous listing projects around the globe including China, Hong Kong, Singapore, the US, Luxembourg and Taiwan.

Between 2005 and 2006, Chin served as the first-term commissioner of the Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC), which is the single financial regulator supervising banking, insurance and securities industries in Taiwan. When she was with the FSC, Chin led the legal reform for the consolidation of commercial banks in Taiwan.
