Introduction
Danny Bunyi is a senior partner at DivinaLaw with 31 years of legal experience in a wide range of areas including corporate law, banking and finance, M&As, cross-border transactions, as well as commercial contract drafting and review.
Prior to joining DivinaLaw, Danny was senior vice president and corporate secretary for the Development Bank of the Philippines, one of the largest government-owned banks in the country.
His work in servicing the firm’s clients has led to multiple awards in areas of banking and finance, corporate and commercial law, private equity and venture capital. He was recognised as a commended external counsel of the year (2019) by In-House Community and is among the 10 highly recommended lawyers named in the inaugural list of Asian Legal Business (ALB) Philippines client choice lawyers (2021).He is also a lecturer at the Ateneo de Manila University John Gokongwei School of Management where he teaches corporation and partnerships law. He also teaches history and administration of trusts, donations, and wills and succession at the Trust Institute Foundation of the Philippines. He obtained his bachelor of science in business management major in legal management degree and bachelor of laws degree from Ateneo de Manila University.
