Practice areas

Sigfrid graduated from the University of the Philippines College of Law in 1983 and has been in continuous litigation practice for over 35 years. He has represented Philippine Presidents or their families in lawsuits, and was counsel for one of them in the first and only Impeachment Proceedings of a sitting President.

He handles cases covering important issues in corporate, civil claims, medical malpractice, patent issues, and criminal accusations before various first and second level courts, and had argued before the Supreme Court en banc in landmark decisions that shaped local jurisprudence. As defense counsel before the Sandiganbayan (Anti-Graft court), Sigfrid has made a name for the most number of cases successfully handled in all its 7 Divisions. Sigfrid is a civic leader in his community, a volunteer for disaster operations, and is a reserve officer of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
