Introduction
As the managing partner of Zambrano Gruba Caganda & Advincula, Lily Gruba supervises and oversees the firm’s practice, management, and operations. She is an esteemed practitioner in the field of taxation, commercial law, banking and finance, mergers and acquisitions, and cross-border transactions.
In the field of public service, she was the former Undersecretary of the Department of Finance from 1998 to 2001. She was also appointed by the Supreme Court of the Philippines as a Bar Examiner on three (3) different occasions: in 2007 and 2019 for taxation law, and in 2012 for commercial law. In the academe, she served as the associate dean of the Ateneo de Manila University School of Law.
Presently, she is the executive director of the Fr Joaquin, SJ Institute for Continuing Legal Education, a professor on taxation law, mergers and acquisitions, and local government finance, and a bar reviewer on taxation and commercial law.
