Richie Sancheti, formerly investment funds practice head at Nishith Desai Associates (NDA), has joined Algo Legal as a partner in Mumbai, along with Abhinav Bhalaik, who had been a partner at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas since 2017.
“We have identified our potential future leaders,” said Sandeep Kapoor, the founder and managing partner at Algo Legal. “Richie and Abhinav bring with them diverse expertise in the funds practice and vast knowledge of dealing with complex domestic and cross-border investments and acquisitions.”
With their recruitment, Algo said it had expanded its services across the entire spectrum of the investment space, from fund formation to large-scale private equity and public market transactions. Sancheti and Bhalaik have more than a decade of experience in fund formation and M&A practice, respectively.
