Recently, Dentons China Shenzhen Office was successfully selected by China Merchants Union Consumer Finance Co., Ltd. into its financial bonds, capital bonds and ABS issuance project panel. The Dentons team participating in this project includes senior partner Yao Weiqi, partner Zhang Yonghe, attorney Ding Jinling of the Shenzhen office, and senior partner Chen Sheng of the Shanghai office. The selected members have extensive experience in issuing bonds and asset-backed securities, have successfully undertaken many projects, and received unanimous praise from customers. In consumer finance, the selected members have experience in providing legal services to many well-known consumer finance companies and are familiar with consumer finance company regulatory laws and policies. Merchants Union Consumer Finance Co., Ltd. was jointly established by two Fortune 500 companies, China Merchants Bank and China Unicom, under the approval of the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission. It is the first consumer finance company established in China under the “Mainland and Hong Kong Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement” (CEPA) framework.
